We are not in-network with Delta Dental's DeltaCare USA (dental HMO) plans. If your card says DeltaCare, call us and we will explain your options.
Using your Delta Dental benefits
Most Delta Dental plans cover two checkups and cleanings a year, often at little or no cost to you. We look up your deductible, your yearly maximum and what you have left, so there are no surprises before treatment.
Delta Dental coverage in San Antonio
Delta Dental is the largest dental insurer in the country, and it's one of the most common workplace dental plans in San Antonio. Because Serenity Oaks Dental is in-network with both Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier, you get Delta Dental's contracted rates here and we file your claims for you.
Most Delta Dental plans cover preventive care, like exams, cleanings and X-rays, at or near 100%. Fillings, root canals and crowns are usually covered at a lower percentage after your deductible, up to your yearly maximum. Plans vary by employer, so we always check yours before treatment.

What dental plans usually cover
Every plan is different, but most PPO dental plans follow a similar pattern:
- Preventive care, like exams, cleanings and X-rays, is often covered at or near 100%.
- Basic care, like fillings and simple extractions, is usually partly covered.
- Major care, like crowns, root canals and dentures, is usually covered at a lower percentage.
- Cosmetic care, like whitening and veneers, is usually not covered.

Yes. We are in-network with Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier.
What is the difference between Delta Dental PPO and Premier?
Both are Delta Dental networks. PPO dentists agree to lower set fees, which usually means the lowest cost for you. Premier is Delta's larger network. Your card shows which network your plan uses, and we are in both.
Do you accept DeltaCare USA?
No. DeltaCare USA is a dental HMO that requires an assigned dentist. Call us and we will help you check your options.
